To Teddy R. From Bon Bon A.

Dear Teddy,
How are you?  Fine, I hope.  I can not wait until you and I have our play date in July like we planned last March.  We will meet at Marion's house when your mama goes to France.  I have much to tell you and show you.  We can also take a walk (my favorite thing to do) around the park and go for ice cream at Leon's.

I have several new toys that my mama bought for me including one that is a bee hive with three bumble bees that live inside.  My mama hides a treat for me inside the hive and I remove the bees to get to the treat.  She says it's a good toy as it exercises my brain when figuring out how to get to the treat.  I'll bring it along to show you.
Do you like the picture of me above?  I LOVE lying on the cool grass in the shade.  My mama is so kind...she brings my water dish to me.  I'm trying to get a bit of a tan, but I don't want to burn.
For this past Easter my mama gave me a pet stroller instead of an Easter basket filled with dog treats.  I LOVE going for a walk with it.  My mama pushes me and I get to ride inside.

The blue goes with my white fur, don't you think?  Every day my mama takes me for a stroll.  I'm meeting a lot of my neighbors.  And, everybody says I look cute.  I can see all around and even out the top as I look up at my mama sometimes.  I always carry a small toy with me in case my mama stops to talk with someone...then I have something to play with as I wait for mama.
I LOVE the waterlily pond in the backyard.  It has toads and frogs that live in it.  Right now some of the tadpoles that hatched this Spring are almost a frog.  They have their four legs but also still have their tail.  They are so small...only about a quarter inch long when sitting.  Can you see them on a lily pad in the picture?

And, here is a picture of Mr. Toad...a fellow of rare distinction who has resided in this backyard for over five years now.  He is very tame as he lets my mama pick him up.  He closed his eyes when I came close and licked his face.  But then he opened one gold eye and decided that I was OK before he opened his other eye.

Here is another cute picture of me that my mama took today.  I practically live outside for most of the day as I explore and garden with my mama.  She is teaching me all about the flowers and trees that live here.  I LOVE how they smell...almost as good as my mama!  Besides all the birds and insects that live here I saw my first firefly and my first FAIRY last night!!!  I am so excited.  I've also seen rabbits and chipmunks.  I've taken some pictures that I will share with you when we meet, Teddy.

Well, I gotta go 'cause my mama is calling me to come and get a treat.  Such a life!  See you soon, Teddy.  Take care and I'll have more to share with you at Marion's house in July.

Custom Necklace & Shrug

I just completed a custom order for a pink rose hand beaded necklace and a grey shrug which is lined and finished with the customer's initials on the inside lining.  As I am very proud of what I can make, I wanted to post the two items on my blog.  Oh, and by the way, Bon Bon helped me create both pieces by supervising me and giving me directions!  Don't I have a very smart dog!

Sleepy Bon Bon & Bouquets

Here is Bon Bon after helping me make some bouquets from my garden flowers.  To me and him one of life's greatest pleasures is picking your own flowers that one has grown from seed, or planted or inherited  from family and friends.

So over time I will be posting more pictures as this Summer progresses.  And, Bon Bon will be taking more naps!

Waterlilies

My pink hardy waterlilies have begun to bloom!  Six or seven of them in a day isn't bad, n'est pas?  They bloom on the water in my small pond and they smell heavenly.  They also make a great cut flower!

My June Roses

Loving roses as I do I had to share mine with the world!  Oh! The garden smells swell!  These are Nearly Wild which grow right outside my sewing room window.

These are my pride and joy!  I use rose petals to decorate cakes, salads and I sugar their petals.  They are also an endless source of inspiration.
